Hate to tell you but that looks ridiculous.
Diminished visibility for driving as well.
You should not need to add an exterior gas tank for a $115K truck.

I think it's more about being functional. Not many places to fill up when you are out driving on trails in the middle of nowhere!

I agree that it should not be needed. But until we sort out the option to install the Auxiliary tank in the space provided for it, I am going to bring extra fuel with me. It does not interfere with visibility in the slightest and for people who do overlanding, they know what they are and frankly I don't care what the mall crawlers think about how it looks.
 
Looks better than the factory crossbars which i removed from my 24 LX and 25 LX Overtrail. Wonder how much wind noise you get with that. I think it looks pretty sleek for an off road rack.
 
Great looking setup! Have you noticed any additional wind noise?
 
Next step completed. 4 traction boards on the passenger side. 6 gallons of gas on the drivers side. Comfortable bed on top. Next step is my drawer system in the back for the fridge and stuff.
