Hello,

I am in the market for a new LX 700 or even a used one. I have been doing some research and I was surprised to see so many issues with the LX 600. Did anyone have any issues with the LX700 so far? I have a couple of Toyotas and 2 Lexus vehicles and they're all so great.

Hello @sab35263 -- welcome to the site. Hopefully someone will be able to give you some feedback as I have no info on the LX 600... but the 700 issues have been very minimal.

Welcome to the forum! The 700 has been pretty solid so far, from what I've seen, but I'm sure there will be some owners who chime in if they've had issues.

I've had my '26 LX700h Overtrail since just before Christmas. Wonderful vehicle with -0- problems. Except for the person who rubbed up against the right front in a parking garage the third week I had it. To their credit--they left a note and were insured. Just be prepared, small amounts of damage are very expensive to repair even though this cost me nothing.
These are probably the best and most capable off-road vehicle you can buy, as is--including Mercedes G-Wagons. But, as with all these modern luxury SUV and off-road vehicles without real bumpers they have glass jaws. Just watch those corners and approach and departure angles--of which the LX are very impressive, given its size. The camera setup lets you see all of these, including what's going on under the vehicle--amazing!

We got ours March of 2025. It still only has 4,500 miles on it. No issues. Love it. I am sure you have read most complaints about the vehicle, I can address ours. cargo capacity is really bad, I took out our 3rd row and it's ok now. Gas mileage and really more range is a big issue. We just got my wife a 2027 Kia Telluride Hybrid, it's 600 miles between trips to the gas station, you will do more like 200 in the LX. The other item we seem to read about all the time is the 6 cylinder. I can tell you my experience is people we to get over this, it's a classic 'when I was a kid we all had...' story. The most powerful Land Cruiser prior to the LX 700 had 380 HP and 400 pound feet of torque, 700 has 460 HP and nearly 600 pound feet of torque. It's crazy how fast this monster is and off road that 600 pd ft of torque is a game changer. I had an E36 M3 that went 0-60 in 5.3 seconds, it had 240 HP and 225 pd ft of torque. V8's are only nostalgically better, not realistically better. This thing is a beast of power. Active Height control is also just an awesome feature. Triple locked, 600 pd ft of torque, active height control, and an interior that is just about the best in the world.

Great post and great opinion. An issue for me is that the sound the engine makes. I'm a huge fan of V8's just because of that... not necessarily even the power, but perhaps I'm just getting old and the V8 sounds are a big piece of that nostalgia for me.

I own 5 vehicles currently. Every single one is a V8 2 of them Supercharged V8's. At least I'm consistent!
