Automatic Height Adjustment

I have my height adjust set to lower when I park, but it doesn’t seem to be operating. Could be that I am doing something wrong, but I have a service appointment to have it checked.

Do you have the Icon on the lower screen highlighted so the green bar is lit? Far right side. Icon shows that it's for this feature.

Yes icon showing. But truck doesn’t lower when I put it in park unless I manually hit the AHC button. My understanding is that if the feature is selected and the icon is on it should lower when in park, but I may be wrong.

Hmmm...I remember rereading the manual about this Icon. I got it the second time. But since I have had that highlighted and it didn't lower once. Maybe something about time after Park? Or....??? My manual's not accessible now.

Yeah. I am thinking maybe it lowers after power is turned off. I got out today and was walking away when it lowered.

For Easy Access Mode, the manual says “If the power switch is turned off within approximately 30 seconds after the vehicle is stopped while easy access mode is on, the vehicle height is lowered.” There are a few requirements for this to happen; the truck needs to have been at Normal height, needs to be in Park, doors can’t be open. I tend to leave it on manual and adjust height as needed, so I have not experimented much with the easy access. The one time I tried it, I think it was from H1 so it obviously didn’t work.

I am usually out of the car within 30 seconds which is why it probably isn’t working for me. Seems kind of crazy to wait 30 seconds if the purpose is to lower the vehicle for easier egress.

Instructions are correct, however...you don't have to wait 30-seconds. Once you turn the Power off it lowers ASAP. If you wait 30-seconds it will not lower.

That is the issue. Mine is not lowering ASAP. Sometimes it does and sometimes it lowers after I am out of the car and on my way.

I struggled with this as well until i realized that it ONLY lowers if you're in NORMAL (N) height, along with some additional conditions that must be met:

Operating conditions for auto-lowering at park:

1. Vehicle height mode is in N (Normal) mode
2. Vehicle is stopped on a flat surface
3. Shift is in P
4. Easy Access mode is turned ON (four-wheel drive control switch in H4, then press the easy access mode switch — this is the "auto-lowering icon" you're seeing)
5. Doors stay closed after the vehicle stops — opening a door cancels it
6. Power switch must be turned off within ~30 seconds of the vehicle stopping

Mine lowers as soon as I power off--it's very perceptible. But, my wife is impatient and opens the door before I can hit the off button and it doesn't lower. She hates it when I point this out to her. The doors have to be closed and power off with the settings already mentioned--it's immediate.
