Thought I would relate my experience with the dealer related to this. They diagnosed the problem as a defective 12v battery, and replaced it under warranty. So far, no issues, but a little concerning that the battery failed failed after only 2500 miles. The service rep advised to never run accessories without having the car running. I had just assumed the hybrid battery would talk to the 12v and keep it charged, but that is not the case. And the 12v battery is not particularly robust. I have thought about possibly replacing the 12v with a lithium battery if I can find one that fits. Since it is mounted in the rear and not subject to engine heat it might be a viable alternative. Not that I intend to sit for extended periods with just the accessories on, but for peace of mind I would prefer a more robust 12v.
Next trip to the dealer will be for the hinged section of my rear shelf that won’t stay fastened down. The spring section that is held down by three clips keeps popping up. A minor frustration given how much I otherwise enjoy this vehicle, but one of those niggling complaints.
