Picking up my 26' LX700h LUX sometime this coming week. Coming from a 25'GLE53AMG and before that, Audis SQ8, BMW X5M. Pretty much sportier SUV's, so I'm excited to get to know this beast and enjoying a smoother ride. Never owned a Lexus, so looking forward to learning from all the posts here.

Welcome to the site @1STLEXUSTX -- from Austin, TX. Everyone seems to love their LX 700 -- about the only complaints are the size of the gas tank and the Mark Levinson sound system not being really up to par for most people. Other than that, everyone seems to be really happy. I'm sure you will be as well.

On another note, how was the GLE53? Have you had any issues with that?

Picked it up in Dallas and drove it back home to Houston. Because of traffic on I-45, Waze detoured me through some back roads. Glad I went that route! Winding roads, a few slopes and no traffic. Really enjoyed the drive.. EXCEPT for the notorious gas tank! I've read a post about adding an aux tank or even completely changing the original one out. Anyone in Houston do this? Concerns about voiding warranty, cost? I may have to post on that link to get more info.

I got an amazing 12.8! Speeds were between 65-80 mph. Filled up yesterday and drove about 70 miles in the city and got 14. I'm sure it will go up, but I don't expect it to go up by much, hence my post about an aux tank.
