Hardwiring Aftermarket Dashcam

In case anyone else wants to install an aftermarket dashcam and tap from the rear view mirror. All you need is the Dongar 10B dongle and 5 mins. Photos below:

Pull the small cover forward. Then push the large cover up towards the ceiling and it will pop off. Find the 10 pin connector (second from the left) and disconnect. Plug the dongle in there and the 10 pin plug into the dongle. Tuck the wires and dongle back in and install the cover routing the usb power cable out through the small square cover. Can then use it to power the dash cam.

Of note, the rear view mirror plug only supplies 5V of power so make sure you find a compatible dash cam.
