Why does camera turn on whenever I stopped?

This have been going on for the past two weeks now. The camera has been turning on every time my father's RX 350h comes to a stop. The moment he drives off again, the camera will turn off.

How can this be turned off because it's very annoying?

My guess is it's some type of reverse sensor? When the car is stopped, something is wonky and the car thinks he's in reverse and it's putting the backup camera on?
