Hi Everyone
I have been a Lexus owner since 2006. RX350 2006-2013; RX 400h from 2013-2019; LX570 from 2019 to March 27, 2026; LX 700h March 27, 2026?

The question mark is related to not taking delivery yesterday of brand new LX700h because I had never seen the cargo space and when presented with the new vehicle yesterday; I was shocked at the cargo space available because of the positioning of the 3rd row and hybrid battery. Why would anyone purchase a LARGE LUXURY SUV with such limited cargo space? I was then told that the 3rd row of seats could NOT be removed because it would jeopardize the built in safety electronics in the car. This does not seem valid.
The reason I chose the hybrid was the delayed response for pickup on the LX600. My LX570 is an 8 cylinder and pickup is quite responsive while the LX600 6 cylinder has a delayed response.

I was also told Lexus did not offer the LX700h in a 2 row seat configuration. Is this a fact? Also need clarification on which models offer Overtrain. Thanks

Yes, the Lexus 700h is offered in the 2 row configuration in the OverTrail & Luxury+ (with captain seats (2); in the second row). (y) I agree the 3rd row seating requirement is LAME! I have a F-Sport. WHY in the WORLD DOES A F-Sport need a 3rd Row Seat???😭

The good news is the Lexus 700h is really zippy. 😍Much faster than the 600 model. You will leave everyone behind from a stopped position in S+. Even those overpriced Tesla's.🥳

Best, Doc

Thanks Doc. Just talked to dealer again and priced the Overtrain. Quite a bit cheaper but beside 3rd row what important options are missing? Now need to do so homework before next dealer meeting.

Hi Everyone

Why would anyone purchase a LARGE LUXURY SUV with such limited cargo space?
I'll try to answer as MANY folks are lined up trying to get one of these 700h's. 1. It's the global Land Cruiser wagon...designed for a 25-year 500,000 mile lifespan in harsh conditions. This is why you see them all over the globe being used by governments and military (etc). 2. The 700h is extremely quiet and comfy yet drives very well. 3. It's completely designed for off-road performance too. Built-in 4-inch hydraulic lift and triple-locking differentials. 4. SAFETY! It's one of only a few SUV's with Permanent 4WD. So you always have traction when it's needed. 5. Some don't need the extra space a true large model offers (we do not). 6. Nothing has been more reliable overall since 1993.

Bottom line: Some do not care about those points above. They want something else and that's OK. If more space is needed, got it. Grab a Ford or Chevy or whatever. Some might not want to pay the extra cash for what a Land Cruiser is underneath...got it.

Yep, agree with ShottsCruiser! 👌This is my 6th LX. The are the most reliable, durable and cost effective AWD Big SUV's you can drive/purchase.(y) The 2019 to 2021 were the absolute pincle of the V8 LX models. Resale value is pretty great. Compairing a hybrid to the V8 I had for over 30 years is tuff. But, when I leave everybody blocks behind at a light change😍 I can understand the hybrid move with the LX Lexus. Best, Doc
