Proud father of two daughters, now 26 and 24. I bought one 2020 Rav 4 hybrid for her college graduation and the other the 2022 IS250 F Sport hybrid. I had the 100 series, 2001 LX470, for 20 years, 386k miles and sold it to my service agent at Lexus for $1 in 2021. It made everyone jealous because the service people said it was in better shape than similar 470's with 100k miles.
I stepped away in 2021 because Lexus still didn't have a hybrid in the LX. My fuel economy in my 2001 470 wasn't meaningfully different than the later LX models. So I bought a Panamera e-hybrid while waiting for the LX to deliver in a hybrid. Once this 700h is available, I'll add it to the fleet. A large part of the decision is also towing capacity.
In the meantime, I'm enjoying my vintage FJ that I had restored to a restomod with the LS3 drivetrain.
Read an article by Patrick Rich questioning why someone might opt for the LX over a Toyota. To me, simple answer is service. My time is valuable, and Lexus has given me the best service by a wide margin over every other make. So, yes, I'll pay a premium up front for the service.
You'll usually find me on the water whether on a stream or a lake. Fishing has always been my favorite past time.

Welcome to the site @Eficht -- thank you for the introduction and glad to have you aboard! That FJ is awesome, my neighbor used to have a tan one similar a long time ago. I wish I would have bought it from him forever ago, he treated it like his baby, it was pristine!

Edit: I almost forgot, I got you marked down as a deposit holder as well!

Thank you
Yes, I signed some form with Stevinson Lexus in Lakewood. Not planning on getting a call to order or see one until next year.

Hopefully sooner, but yah I agree with you. Seems like they are still having problems keeping up with demand for the GX 550 and the Land Cruiser.
